Moore Global Conference Code of Conduct
1. Purpose
Moore Global conferences are designed to provide a professional, respectful and commercially valuable environment for all participants.
This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected from all attendees, speakers, sponsors, partners, staff and suppliers.
It applies to all conference-related activity, including:
- Conference sessions and workshops
- Networking events and social functions
- Offsite activities organised as part of the programme
- Digital platforms and event communications
2. Our Principles
All participants are expected to:
- Act with integrity and professionalism at all times
- Treat others with dignity and respect
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment
- Comply with all applicable laws and local regulations
- Uphold Moore Global’s brand and reputation
Moore Global operates a zero-tolerance approach to harassment, including sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour.
3. Professional and Respectful Behaviour
Participants must:
- Conduct themselves in a courteous and professional manner
- Respect diverse perspectives, cultures and backgrounds
- Engage constructively in discussion and debate
- Comply with dress codes where specified
- Consume alcohol responsibly where it is provided
The following will not be tolerated:
- Harassment, discrimination or bullying of any kind
- Sexual harassment or inappropriate sexual behaviour
- Abuse of authority, coercive behaviour or misuse of senior position
- Intimidation or threatening conduct
- Offensive, abusive or disruptive language or actions
- Deliberate disruption of sessions or speakers
- Recording, photographing or sharing content without permission
- Any behaviour that may damage Moore Global’s reputation
4. Provision and Consumption of Alcohol
Alcohol may be served at certain conference functions.
Where alcohol is provided:
- It is offered within a professional networking context
- Responsible consumption is expected at all times
- Behaviour that becomes inappropriate, unsafe or disruptive will not be tolerated
- The Code of Conduct applies equally to all social and evening events
Moore Global may implement service controls, including limits, alcohol-free alternatives and venue briefings, to support responsible consumption.
Moore Global reserves the right to limit service or remove individuals from events where behaviour falls below expected standards.
Participants are responsible for complying with local laws regarding alcohol consumption.
5. Confidentiality and Information Sharing
Participants must:
- Respect the confidentiality of non-public information shared during sessions
- Comply with Chatham House Rule where explicitly stated
- Not share presentations, materials or attendee information without permission
- Adhere to applicable data protection laws
6. Compliance and Commercial Integrity
All participants must:
- Comply with applicable anti-bribery, anti-corruption and competition laws
- Avoid discussions that could be interpreted as anti-competitive or commercially sensitive between competing firms
- Ensure sponsor or partner activity aligns with agreed guidelines and brand standards
7. Health, Safety and Wellbeing
Participants must:
- Follow venue health and safety requirements
- Comply with any local regulations or event-specific safety guidance
- Respect venue property and facilities
Emergency procedures communicated by the venue or organisers must be followed immediately.
8. Reporting Concerns
If a participant experiences or witnesses behaviour that breaches this Code of Conduct, they should report it promptly to:
- The Event Director or Conference Lead
- A designated safeguarding contact identified in event communications
- A member of the Moore Global events team
Designated safeguarding contacts will be identified in event communications and on-site materials.
Reports will be handled discreetly, documented appropriately and addressed in accordance with Moore Global policies.
Retaliation against any individual who raises a concern in good faith will not be tolerated.
9. Consequences of Breach
Moore Global reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to any breach of this Code of Conduct, including:
- A verbal or written warning
- Removal from a session or event
- Revocation of event access without refund
- Escalation to the individual’s firm leadership
- Further action in line with Moore Global policies
10. Acknowledgement
Registration and attendance at a Moore Global conference constitutes agreement to abide by this Code of Conduct.
