My predictions for the Film, TV and commercials industry in 2024: Film release will slow on the back of the Hollywood strikes and global cinema audiences will dip after the phenomena of Barbie and Oppenheimer. The streaming giants' need for subscriber growth makes production a fertile market and a positive environment for strong M&A activity. I am delighted to announce that we have assembled a panel of leaders in the commercials and TV sector for our event at BAFTA on 29th November. I feel sure there will be a lively discussion as they tackle what survival in the current climate looks like as well as taking a helicopter view of the production industry, the issues that are besetting it and the various routes that can be taken to stabilise and prosper. Time to draw breath and reflect on an amazing week where we have been honoured to host the Moore Global Partner Conference and also the Global Tax and Corporate Finance Conferences ! I feel sure all delegates were stimulated by the wide range of speakers and panel discussions and entertained by the varied programme of social and fun events .I want to say a big thanks to all the MKS and Moore Global teams who helped to make everything such a big success . We are really proud to have had this as one of the centrepieces of our Centenary year !
