Merwyn qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) over a decade ago and has gained extensive experience across a broad range of strategy, transformation, process improvement and service delivery portfolios. He has worked extensively in the public sector and has a deep understanding of the challenges facing this sector.In 2004, he was appointed as a senior manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and in 2008 as an associate director at SizweNtsalubaGobodo. Merwyn has undertaken a range of consulting, training and auditing assignments for various public sector entities. As such, he is well-acquainted with the development ethos and legislation of government and the public sector, financial and broader management environment. Merwyn’s broad experience includes provincial, departmental and local government auditing on behalf of the Auditor General.Merwyn has worked in South Africa and the United Kingdom, where he was responsible for the consolidation and auditing of two inter-continental multi-million pound manufacturing entities. Merwyn was appointed as the managing partner of Moore Stephens in Lichtenburg during 2012.
